my little writer.

Yesterday I received an email from Hayden's school letting me know that they are putting together a Literary Magazine. They are currently taking submissions from all students at any grade. I told Hayden about it and asked him if he would like to submit something. He said that he did. I also told him that I couldn't guarantee that they would pick his writings, but that this would be a fun experience regardless.

So last night Hayden wrote his "stories". He wrote 2 submissions and was very proud of his work. They even have titles.

Here is the 1st one:

His second story included illustrations!!!

I thought this was all very adorable and I was incredibly proud of him. Randy and I did help him with some of the spelling, but he came up with the "stories" all by himself. 

He has had a difficult time picking up reading and writing concepts. It seems like things are finally starting to click though and I couldn't be happier for him, because I can tell that he feels more confident in himself and his abilities. Yay for Hayden - my little writer.
