- I woke up to find that Harper had vomited last night in her crib. Her room smelled TERRIBLE! I had to change her bedding, give her a bath, clean the crib, clean the floor, and do the laundry. Her room still stinks - I am hoping it starts to smell better soon. (NOTE: I don't think she is sick. I think she just threw up for some unknown reason. I am keeping an eye on her though.)
- Alfie (our dog) has been acting hurt since Harper's birthday party this past Saturday. I was hoping he would start to feel better, but such was not the case. After whining and crying all night and sleeping on my pillows - keeping me up all night - we (meaning myself and the kiddos) dropped him off at the vet (I couldn't schedule an appointment at a time that would work so they suggested that I just drop him off and that they would call me when they figured out what was wrong and I could come pick him up as directed). Turns out he has a broken rib. He is now on pain medications and just needs to rest and heal.
- It should be noted that Randy is out of town for all this. Also, he is usually the one who cleans up all the yucky stuff - well, he is pretty much always the one who cleans up everything. So I was out of my element for sure!
Hopefully our afternoon will go better. Wish me luck!
UGH- you poor thing. I'm so sorry! I had a really bad accident to clean up after a few weeks ago- Suka had gotten REALLY sick in her crate and it was a mess (as was she). I came THISCLOSE to vomitting while cleaning it all up. It took HOURS to do everything (cover her in a sheet and carry her out...clean crate and carpet surrounding....bath Suka...etc etc. Makes me sick thinking about it, actually....
ReplyDeleteUgh, vomit is always gross. I don't do vomit...that's Paul's job.
ReplyDelete& poor doggie :( How did he break his rib? Bless him.
OH MY GOSH!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. That is way too much to deal with at one time, especially with a hubby out of town. Never fails something 'exciting' happens, right?!
I hope everyone gets a good nights' sleep tonight and things go smoothly for a while. After that you certainly deserve a break!
Oh no! Of COURSE it happens when the husband is out of town!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!!!
Good luck!
(Hint, if you can, try baking soda in Harper's room - it usually kills the yucky smells.)
