first sibling bath.

Harper and Hayden experienced their first sibling bath today. It was a definite success.

I remember taking baths with my little sister when I was younger and we always had a good time together. The sibling baths were definitely preferable to solo baths!

We waited until now to do "sibling baths" because we wanted to make sure Harper was sturdy enough in the tub to handle Hayden and his rambunctiousness.

But when it came down to it, Hayden was MUCH calmer in the bath when joined by Harper.

Usually he is somewhat rowdy and gets very feisty when it comes time to wash his hair - it's generally a struggle to get his hair washed. But this morning, he was very still and trooped through it like a champ!

He was a great model of bath-time "etiquette" and really enjoyed his sister taking a bath with him. He wants her to join him for every bath-time - and I think she will (until he doesn't want her to join him anymore or it becomes inappropriate and/or awkward).

And Harper had a great time too. She is fascinated with her brother and greatly amused by his antics.

Sibling bath-time was a surprising delight - something this mommy is extremely happy with.
