Today I have opted to write about something I did this week for someone that I think made them happy - or at least was helpful.I have a friend who really wants to have a baby, unfortunately it isn't exactly the right time for her. She wanted help in how to decrease her "baby fever." Using my infinite wisdom (HA!), I was able to help her feel better about her choice. And even though she's still feeling that baby-making urge, I think my words provided support and validation - two things she was really in need of.
It made me feel good to be able to be there for her and help her. I like to be a supportive friend and help when I can. And maybe that's selfish, but I think it's true -It feels good to do and be "good."
So I am happy on this 'Feel Good Friday' to be a good friend - to be able to help someone when they needed me. I hope I can do it again soon.
My thanks again to 'The Girl' and her meme. 'Feel Good Friday' is a great way to end the week!

I gotta know what did you tell her

ReplyDeleteSelfish or not, being good to people to make yourself feel good, is still a good thing. A whole lot better than being mean to people to make yourself feel good ;)
