One tradition that we do (among many) has to do with Christmas ornaments.
Every year since Hayden was born, we have taken a picture of him wearing his Christmas pajamas and placed the picture in a picture frame ornament (and hung it on the tree).
I purchased some picture frame ornaments from Target over the past two years that have enabled me to bring consistency to this tradition. Unfortunately these ornaments will only get me through to when Hayden is about 13 and they don’t have them anymore which I am quite upset about, but I’m coping - or at least I'm trying to (I had wanted to continue the picture frame tradition until he was 18 and had moved out of the house).
Anywho, back to the topic at hand: the ornaments.
Looking at the ornaments you should notice the “theme” - Pretty cute stuff (well at least I think so).
Oh, and here are the original pictures.
Note: All pictures were taken in December... the first was 12.07, then 12.08, and lastly 12.09 so he was approximately 11-months-old, 23-months-old, and 35-months-old in each picture, respectively.
What adorable photos. He is going to be a heartbreaker someday!
ReplyDeleteTraditions are awesome :-)
Cute! Did you see the Merryships Christmas Card? I think it was sooo cute. (It had all of the christmas cards over the years).
ReplyDeleteThese are great! You give me soooo many great ideas for when I have kiddos. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHe is just so adorable!!! I LOVE his smile :)
ReplyDeleteI love traditions, too... all about consistency and predictability!!
Great tradition! I need to start some traditions. I am so bad at keeping them up every year. He is just tooooo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute! I love good traditions like that. They'll be so fun to look back on some day.

This reminds me I have to do a post of Miss H's ornaments she made us:) It's beyond adorable what kids can do to put a smile on our faces. Happy Holidays!:)
ReplyDeleteCute! Your Hayden and my Q are just about a month apart. Our Christmas tradition is to get each kid an ornament each year. We mark them with different colors of ribbon to tell whose is whose. Then when they move out (sob!) they will have a complete set of ornaments for their own trees.
ReplyDeleteCute! Bummer that Target isn't carrying the frames anymore, but maybe you can find some like them. Our ornament tradition is less consistent than yours ... Jack gets one that represents each year somehow (so far, it's one of his favorite things). Last year it was a drum - this year, a hammer. Obviously. :)
