a trim - finally.
A few weeks ago when I posted some pictures of Hayden my sister Mary posted that he was in serious need of a haircut. I knew that; however, his "hair stylist" Allison (who is also Mary's best friend) was getting married and VERY busy... so Hayden's hair had to wait...until now. He finally got a trim this afternoon thanks to Allison... he did not enjoy it (he cried, screamed, and squirmed the WHOLE time); however, that is not the point.
Here is the newly trimmed Hayden (again, my thanks goes out to Allison)... and check him out with his "baby" whom he loves dearly... SO sweet!

It might not seem like it's shorter, but trust me... it is!

the past week...
So this week has been interesting. Hayden had a good week at school… he still got upset this morning (his third day) when I left, but all in all he is definitely doing better. On Friday, Hayden was pretty sick. His temperature got up to 104.7… not good. He was still eating and drinking though (and playing to a certain extent), so we did not go to the doctor (plus, Hayden’s behavior at the doctor is less than pleasant, so unless it’s necessary I do not plan on taking him there). I attribute the illness to his first week of school… which I knew would happen (eventually - although I didn't think he would get sick after just 2 days... oh well, tis life).
He still had a slight fever on Saturday; however, it was definitely going down and he seemed to be getting over his illness. On the other hand, he also has at least 3 teeth coming in and that is not enjoyable. They are obviously causing him some discomfort as he is quite cranky and in general very moody and sensitive. So although he is not ill he is still not "functioning" at 100% (I would say he is more at 70%).
Randy and I went to the Razorback game on Saturday (Go Hogs!). Our friends’ Katrice and Jeremy from Jacksonville joined us and we had a fabulous time… on Sunday, Randy and Hayden went to the lake and I got a much-appreciated break. My parents were at the lake too (as well as my sister, Clark, my Aunt Linda, my cousin Madison, my Mimi, and a few others). I think they had a pretty good time (despite Hayden’s moodiness).
That’s about all that is going on right now… I’ll be sure to update more as life unfolds.
